 Sometimes
we think how much easier it would be to communicate with people from other
countries in our native language. Making us understood and correctly understanding
what others say in a foreign language is very difficult. We are very aware
of this because even after studying English for ten years in school, most
Japanese people cannot communicate well in English. Not only is language
a necessary tool for communication, but it is also the key to the understanding
of culture, society, and thoughts of another country or countries. We
feel that helping to faciliate the acquisition of a foreign language will
further international understanding. For many years the Sendagaya Japanese
Institute (S.J.I) has been developing teaching materials and methods to
help students of Japanese as a foreign language quickly and efficiently.
The teachers and staff of S.J.I are looking forward to making your experience
