The emphasis at this step is on developing basic vocabulary such as frequently used adjectives, learning Hiragana, Katakana and numbers, and learning to communicate in essential life skill situations. (i.e. greetings, shopping, dining out)
Basic skills are introduced and practiced through listening, speaking, reading and writing. |

The emphasis at this level is on developing more vocabulary and expressions and using the common verbs. Key grammar points include the expressions to describe past events, the time and expressions for invitations. |

Key grammar points include the conjugations of verbs, the expressions of comparisons, desires, requests, permissions and potentials. |

For those who can manage basic conversations and wish to further improve their conversational skills. Students will learn the expressions to describe experiences, quotations, wills and advice, as well as the casual form of conversations. |

Students will learn the expressions used in different situations such as giving and receiving, and giving directions. |

Students will learn the expressions such as hearsay, guessing, resemblance, simplified expressions unique in conversations and the different usages of transitive and intransitive verbs. |

This class emphasizes using advanced language structures by learning basic honorifics (polite forms.) |

Key grammar points include passive forms, order and forbiddance, which are useful in social life. |

Finishing up the key grammar points at the elementary level: learn a variety of polite forms and causatives. Help students sharpen their communication talents. |
