S.J.I was commissioned
by the United Nations to teach Japanese to Vietnamese refugees. |

S.J.I moved from Sendagaya,
Shibuya to Takadanobaba, Shinjuku. |

Japanese Tourism Language"
by ASEAN Center started. S.J.I. sent teachers to six ASEAN
countries.
Japanese language training for computer software engineers
started in co-operation with JAIDO. S.J.I sent teachers
to Bangalore, India. |

S.J.I started teaching
Japanese to Chinese nurses at China/Japan Friendship Hospital
in Beijing, China.
Cooperative Japanese Business and Society program in Japan

S.J.I. established Japanese
Center in Hanoi by request of Vietnamese Ministry of Education. |
| 1995 |
S.J.I. celebrated 20th
anniversary. Japanese language education has started at
Haiphong, Vietnam.
Japanese teachers training program has started at Queensland,
Australia. |

S.J.I. started teaching Japanese to Japanese language teachers
in Australia. |
| 1999 |
S.J.I. published its original
textbooks ("Communication Japanese 1-3") |
| 2000 |
S.J.I. opened new campus
(Center-campus) in Takadanobaba |
| 2001 |
S.J.I. supported the 118th
Sunday Concert of Japan Philharmonic Orchestra as the 25th
anniversary project. |

S.J.I. moved Main Campus
to a new building in Takadanobaba.
